What's New at Across the Pond?
Children's Garden at Huntsville Botanical Gardens
Across The Pond and Porous Pave recently donated two bridges and a walkway for the Children's Garden at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens.
Porous Pave is a revolutionary paving product made from recycled tires, aggregate and urethane binder.
Some of the benefits of this product are:
Highly permeable – allows large amounts of rainwater to pass through into the ground while providing a hard surface
Flexible – 50% rubber content allows Porous Pave to remain flexible which eliminates cracking, especially in freezing climate freeze/thaw
Durable – Porous Pave can be used in parking lots, driveways and other high use applications. Also resistant to snow plow damage!
Super strong – installed at 2″ thick Porous Pave can
handle low speed vehicle traffic, installed at 1-1/2″ thick for pathways, patios, trails and other pedestrian applications. Use at 1″ thick to over-pour existing concrete/asphalt areas.

New Brand Added for Pellet Smoker & Grills, Green Mountain Grills
We are proud to announce an addition to our line of outdoor cooking brands. Green Mountain Grills, makers of the Daniel Boone and the Jim Bowie Pellet Smoker / Grills has some of the most technologically advanced products in the field. They come standard with computerized digital controls that maintain a constant temperature during cooking.
Also, each model includes a meat probe to monitor the cooking temperature of the meat. To make life really easy, you can upgrade each of these grills to have a remote control with which to control the cooking from up to 100 feet away!
Daniel Boone Wood Pellet Smoker / Grill
The Daniel Boone Model comes with a digital control, a meat probe, a peaked lid for stand-up chicken/ large fowl/ rib racks, a convenience tray with utensil hooks, hard rubber tires and a venturi-style firebox for cyclone combustion. It also has Sense-Mate, a thermal sensor which constantly monitors the ambient temperature. When it gets cold outside, it kicks the grill into Turbo mode so you don’t have to wait long for the grill to heat up! Other features include a positive pressure hopper fan to prevent burn-back, “fan only” mode with automatic shut-off to blow ash out of the firebox after you finish grilling, a 27X16 (432 sq. in.) stainless steel grate, and 13.5” clearance inside. It weighs 152 pounds.
Available options include a stainless steel no-warp lid, form-fitted grill cover, and a dome thermometer.
Jim Bowie Wood Pellet Smoker / Grill
The Jim Bowie model comes with a digital control, a meat probe, a peaked lid for stand-up chicken/ large fowl/ rib racks, a convenience tray with utensil hooks and hard rubber tires. Also included is Sense-Mate, a thermal sensor which constantly monitors the ambient temperature. When it gets cold outside, it kicks the grill into Turbo mode so you don’t have to wait long for the grill to heat up! You’ll also get a venturi-style firebox for cyclone combustion, front casters, a positive pressure hopper fan to prevent burn-back, a dome thermometer and “fan only” mode with automatic grill shut-off to blow ash out of the firebox after you finish grilling. The stainless steel grate measures 37.5” X 16” (600 sq. in.) and the inside clearance is 13.5”. It weighs 183 pounds.
Available options include a stainless steel no-warp lid, and a form-fitted grill cover.
